Fujitsu and MSC sign Europe-wide Distribution Agreement for Semiconductor Solutions

Agreement complements the MCU and memory portfolio of MSC and strengthens Fujitsu’s distribution channels
Langen and Stutensee, Germany, 20 November 2012 – Fujitsu Semiconductor Europe (FSEU) and MSC Vertriebs GmbH today announced that they recently signed a pan-European distribution agreement. By adding the FSEU product portfolio to its distribution programme, MSC is continuing its decades-long tradition of acting as a European distribution partner to Japanese semiconductor manufacturers. To begin with, the partnership will focus primarily on Fujitsu’s wide range of ARM Cortex-based 8-, 16- und 32-bit microcontrollers for a variety of industrial embedded control applications as well as its extensive portfolio of ferroelectric RAM solutions (FRAMs). more
Fujitsu Semiconductor Announces Two Complete Families of 32-bit Microcontrollers Utilising the ARM Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M0+ Cores

Delivering the industry’s greatest line-up of ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers with the development of more than 700 products within the FM3, FM4 and FM0+ Families
Langen, Germany, 06 November 2012 – Fujitsu Semiconductor today announced the launch of the new FM4 Family of 32-bit general-purpose RISC microcontrollers based on the ARM® Cortex™-M4 processor core, as well as the new FM0+ Family, which utilises the Cortex-M0+ core. Fujitsu plans to start releasing sample quantities of products in these new families in summer 2013. Combined with the current FM3 Family of microcontrollers, the Cortex-M4, M3, and M0+ processor core product group will comprise a broad-based line-up of more than 700 different products, whose consistent architecture and flexibility will now be an even better fit for growing customer needs in the areas of higher performance and lower power consumption. more
Fujitsu’s FM3 Single- and Twin-Ethernet ARM® Cortex™-M3 Microcontroller now also available with SEVENSTAX Internet Protocol Suite

The versatile Fujitsu FM3 MCU can now also be deployed in SEVENSTAX architectures
Langen, 9 October 2012 – The Internet Protocol Suite from German embedded Internet specialist SEVENSTAX is now also available for Fujitsu’s single- and twin-Ethernet (TwinMAC) ARM® Cortex™-M3 microcontrollers from the FM3 Family. The FM3 TwinMAC MCUs are high-end members of the FM3 Family and can be deployed for a wide range of applications – such as factory or home automation and the intelligent control of illumination and alarm systems, to name just two. With the porting to the FM3 architecture, SEVENSTAX now also supports this microcontroller Family. more
